ORDINANCE NO. 11,183
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING AND ABANDONING HARRINGTON
STREET BETWEEN 12TH AND 13TH STREETS IN THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock desires to vacate, close and
abandon Harrington Street in the City of Little Rock between 12th and
13th Streets; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock deems
the said portion of Harrington Street no longer required or needed for
municipal purposes; and
WHEREAS, an adequate alternate route will be provided and main-
tained for the public in lieu of said portion of Harrington Street herein
being vacated; and
WHEREAS, the best interest of the citizenry of the City of Little
Rock will be served by vacating, closing, and abandoning the said portion
of Harrington Street;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. It is hereby ascertained and declared that Harrington
Street between 12th and 13th Streets in the City of Little Rock is not
needed for corporate purposes as a public street and should be closed,
vacated and abandoned as such.
SECTION 2. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases and
abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public generally,
all pursuant to the general grant of powers given to the City of Little
Rock under Arkansas Statute 19 -2304, Acts, 1885, No. 67, Section 3, in
and to Harrington Street between 12th and 13th Streets in the City of
Little Pock, Arkansas; subject, however, to an easement granting the
Little Rock Municipal Water Works and any other public utility easement
located in said street, the right to service, maintain, repair and re-
place such utilities as are situated in said right of way.
SECTION 3. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the

City Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County, Arkansas, and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.;
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
