HomeMy WebLinkAbout11184e ORDINANCE NO. llvl84 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN INTRA- DEPARTMENTAL TRANSFER OF BUDGETED FUNDS WITHIN THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 11,139 TO MAKE SUCH TRANSFER; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS,, there remains in the Malaria Control Account No. 174 -7.7 One Thousand One Hundred Thirty Seven and 88/100 Dollars ($1,137.38) which will not be needed for such purposes during this year; and WHEREAS, this sum is necessary for the purchase of certain garbage trucks for use in the Sanitation Department; NOVT THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. A transfer of One Thousand One Hundred Thirty Seven and 83 /100 Dollars ($1,137.83) from Malaria Control Account No. 174 -7.7 to Sanitation 'Department Account No. 154 -7.7 is hereby authorized and approved. SECTION 2. Sections 43.A.(7) and (8) of Ordinance No. 11,139, same being the Budget Ordinance of the City of Little Rock for 1961, are hereby amended to read as follows: ''Section 43. General Fund - Sanitation 154 A. Budget Summary Estimated 1960 1961 (7) Capital Outlay - Equipment $31,000. $16,591.83 (8) Total $35031632. $343,705.88" SECTION 3. Sections 43.C.(6)c. and e. of Ordinance No. 11,139 are hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 43. General Fund - Sanitation 154 C. Detail of Expenses (6) Capital Outlay Equipment Estimated 1960 1961 c. 7.7 trucks $27,932 $162341.88 e. Total $31,000 $16,591.88" SECTION 4. Sections 44.A.(4) and (5) of Ordinance No. 11,139 are OF -2- hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 44 - General Fund - K-laria Control 174 A. Budget Summary Estimated 1960 1961 (4) 7. Capital Outlay- Equipment $2,000 $12862.12 (5) Total $112072 $103,734.12" SECTION 5. Sections 44.C.(3)b. and c. of Ordinance No. 11,139 are hereby amended to read as follows: '`Section 44 - General Fund - Malaria Control 174 C. Detail of Expenses (3) Capital Outlay - Equipment Estimated 1960 1461 b. 7.7 Trucks -0- $12362.12 c. Total $2,000 $1,362.12" SECTION 6. It has been determined that in order to provide the Sanitation Department with additional trucks needed to collect garbage in the City of Little dock it is necessary that the money herein transferred be made available to the said Department; now therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
