AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 11,1399 SAME BEING
THE BUDGET ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE BOCK FOR
THE YEAR 1961, BY PROVIDING FOR AN.INTRA- DEPARTMENTAL
TRANSFER WITHIN THE HEALTH.DEPARTMENT.EUDGET ACCOUNT;
DECLARING _AN.EMERGENCY ;.AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, there remains in the Clinic Payroll Account, Me.
1801, One Thousand Seven Hundred and No /100 Dollars ($1,700.00)
which will not be needed for salary purposes during this year;
and
WHEREAS, this sum is needed in the Pound Payroll Account,
No. 131, in order to employ three (3) men on a temporary basis to
assist the Dog Pound of the City of Little Rock in impounding
stray dogs;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. A transfer of One Thousand Seven Hundred and
No /104 Dollars ($1,700.00) from the Clinic Payroll Account, No.
180, to Pound Payroll Account, No. 1319 is hereby authorized and
approved.
SECTION 2. Sections 19.A.(1) and (8) of Ordinance No.
11,139, same being the Budget Ordinance of the City of Little Rock
for the year 1961, are hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 19. General Fund - Clinic 180

SECTION 3. Section 19.B.(3).i. of Ordinance No. 11,139 is
hereby amended to read as follows:

SECTION 8. It has been determined that there is a need for
at least three (3) additional employees at the Dog Pound in order
to facilitate the impounding of stray dogs in the City, a condition
which is a detriment to the public peace, health and safety and

which cannot be corrected without the additional help provided
for herein; now therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist, and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health and safety,shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
