ORDINANCE NO. 11,203
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,
OF A TERRITORY OF LAND LOCATED IN
SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 1 NORTH, RANGE 11
WEST, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS, BEING
CONTIGUOUS TO THE EXISTING EAST BOUND-
ARY OF SAID CITY, and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, upon the petition of a majority of the real estate
owners owning a majority of the acreage in the area affected, as
required by law, and after due notice of hearing on said petition
for the time and in the manner prescribed by law, the County Court
of Pulaski County, Arkansas, did on the 5th day of July 1961, enter
an order annexing the area in Pulaski County, more specifically
described in Section 1 thereof to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
and,
WHEREAS, more than thirty (30) days have elapsed within
which any interested person could institute proceedings in the
Circuit Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, to prevent said ainex-
ation, and there have appeared no protestants to this annexation;
and,
WHEREAS, said area as hereinafter specifically described
is contiguous to and adjoins the City of Little Rock on the East
boundary of said City, and as all proceedings for the annexation
of said area have been conducted as required by law,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY BOARD : OF - DIRECTORS

SECTION 1. That the following described territory in Pulaski
County, Arkansas, to -wit:
Commencing at a point that is 43.43 feet East and 300 feet
South of the Northeast corner of the North Half (Nk) of the
Northeast Qmrter (NEk) of the Northwest Quarter - (NWk) of
Section 17, Township 1 North, Range 11 West, Pulaski County,
Arkansas; pm ceeding from the point of beginning thence es-
tablished, South 87 degrees 56 minutes West 1363.43 feet to
the existing Little Rock City limits, thence Southerly cross-
ing East Roosevelt Road and following the existing Little
Rock City limits 450 feet to the toe of the existing levee,
thence North 75 degrees 51 minutes East 325 feet along the

toe of the levee to the West right of way line of Zimmer-
man Street, thence North 2 degrees East 150 feet along the
West right of way line of Zimmerman Street, thence Ncr th
87 degrees 56 minutes East 2696 feet, thence North 40 de-
grees 25 minutes East 99.82 feet, thence North 2 degrees
East 163.86 feet, thence North 87 degrees 56 minutes East
242.57 feet, thence North 2 degrees East 130 feet, thence
South 87 degrees 56 minutes West 1955 feet, thence South
2 degrees West to the point of beginning proper,
be and the same is hereby accepted and annexed to the City of Little
Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. And the above described territory is hereby
assigned to Ward Two (2)
