HomeMy WebLinkAbout11208a ORDINANCE NO. 11,208 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ONE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED THIRTY FOUR AND N01100 DOLLARS ($1,734.00) TO STREET DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT NO. 136 -5.2 FOR PAYMENT OF CERTAIN MEDICAL EXPENSES; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 11,139, AS AMENDED; AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF THE MONEY APPRO- PRIATED HEREIN; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from unappropriated surplus in the Street Fund to the Street Department Account No. 136 -5.2 the sum of One Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty Four and No /100 Dollars ($1,734.00) for the payment of certain medical expenses incurred by E1vie Arnold an employee of the Street Department. SECTION 2. Sections 46.C.(4)c. and g. of Ordinance No. 11,139, same being the Budget Ordinance of the City of Little Rock for the year 1961, are hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 46 - Street Fund - Street 136 C. DETAIL OF EXPENSES (4) SUNDRY CHARGES Estimated 1960 c. 5.2 Injuries $400 1961 $2,134. g. TOTAL $129540 $5,684.11 SECTION 3. Sections 46.A.(5) and (10) of Ordinance No. 11,139, as amended, are hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 46 - Street Fund - Street 136 A. BUDGET SUMMARY Estimated 1960 1961 (5) Sundry Charges $129540. $59684.00 (10) TOTAL $7863,645. $7479286.5011 SECTION 4. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed 4 J -2- to pay such sums from the amount appropriated in Section 1. hereof at such times and to such persons, firms or corporations as he may deem wise, expedient and in the best interest of said Elvie Arnold. SECTION 5. The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrants in conformity with Section 4. hereof. SECTION 6. It has been found and determined that payment of certain medical expenses incurred by City Employees, when warranted, should be made at the earliest possible time by the City in order to effect the continued high morale of the em- ployees of the City of Little Rock, and that this ordinance will provide for same; now therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
