ORDINANCE NO. 11, 215
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13.06.c., ARTICLE 13 OF THE
FIRE PREVENTION CODE ADOPTED BY SECTION 1. OF ORDINANCE NO.
9600, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 10,888 AND ORDINANCE NO.
11,031; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
SECTION 1. Section 13.06.c., Article 13 of the Fire Prevention
Code adopted by Section 1. of Ordinance No. 9600, as amended by Ordinance
No. 10,888 and Ordinance No. 11,031, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"c. Provided, however, that all school buildings, public,
private and parochial, in the City of Little Rock not constructed
with fire resistive materials shall install either a Fire Detection
System approved by the Engineering Division of the Arkansas Inspec-
tion and Rating Bureau or an approved Automatic Sprinkler System,
with a direct connection to the Fire Alarm Office located in Central
Fire Station.
(1) This subsection shall not apply, however, to any
transferable classroom not in excess of six hundred (600)
square feet, not constructed with fire resistive materials
and containing no concealed space within the classroom. The
space existing between the floor of any such structure and
the ground shall be fully enclosed with non - combustible
materials and any covered walkway connecting any such struc-
ture with any other such structure or building sha14 be of
non - combustible materials. This provision shall not be con-
strued in such manner as to amend, modify or otherwise affect
the provisions of any other ordinances of the City of Little
Rock relating to such structures defined herein."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.
