AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.B.(4)d. OF ORDINANCE
N0. 11,1392 SAME BEING THE BUDGET ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK FOR THE YEAR 19619 BY APPROPRIATING
ONE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED AND N01100 DOLLARS ($1,700.00)
FROM UNAPPROPRIATED SURPLUS TO ADMINISTRATIVE & GENERAL
SERVICES ACCOUNT NO. 6 -6.10 IN ORDER TO DEFRAY SALARY
AND CERTAIN OTHER EXPENSES FOR A REAL ESTATE OFFICER AND
CLERK STENO; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PUR-
POSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from unappropriated
surplus in the General Fund to Administrative and General Services
Account Number 6 -6.10 the sum of One Thousand Seven Hundred and
No /100 Dollars ($1,700.00) to be used to pay the salary and
certain other expenses for a Real Estate Officer and Clerk Steno
to be employed in connection with the acquisition of right -of -way
for the East -West Expressway to be constructed in the City of
Little Rock.
SECTION 2. Section 9.B.(4)d. of Ordinance No. 11,139, same
being the Budget Ordinance of the City of Little Rock for the
year 1961, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 9 - General Fund - Administrative & General

(4) MISCELLANEOUS SERVICES Estimated 1960 1961

$49600 $59500.00"
SECTION 3. It has been determined that certain changes in
the Budget of the City of Little Rock for 1961, should be made
in order to facilitate the proper and efficient management of
the acquisition of fight -of -way for the East -West Expressway,
which Expressway will greatly enhance the welfare of the citizenry

of this City; now therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist, and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health and safety shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval.
