THE STREET DEPARTMENT BUDGET ACCOUNT; DNCLARING AX EMERGENCY; AND -FOR OTHER PURPOSES., WHEREAS, there remains in Street Department Account Ho. 136 -3.2 the sum of Two Thousand and No /100 Dollars ($2,000.00) which will not be needed for maintenance of Streets & Alleys; and WHEREAS, this sum is needed in the Street Department Account Po, 136 -4.4 to cover unanticipated maintenance expense on heavy equipment; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. A transfer of Two Thousand and N61100 Dollars ($2,008.04) from Street Department Account No. 136 -3.2 to Street Department Account No. 136 -4.4 is hereby authorized and approved. SECTION 2. Section 46.C.(2)b. of Ordinance No. 11,1399 same being the Budget Ordinance of the City of Little Rock for the year 1961, is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 46. - Street Fund - Street 136 C. DETAIL OF EXPENSES (2) MAINTENANCE OF STRUCTURES Estimated 1960 1961 b. 3.2 Streets & Alleys $2359000 $1989000" SECTION 3. Section 46.C.(3)c. of Ordinance No. 11,139 is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 46 - Street Fund - Street 136 C. DETAIL OF EXPENSES (3) MAINTENANCE OF EQUIPMENT Estimated 1960 c. 4.4 Heavy Equipment $ 9,960 1961 11,000" �- L.1y r' d1lb, • 7 - 2 - SECTION 4. It has been determined that the City is in need of an additional Two Thousand and No /100 Dollars ($2,800.00) in the Street Department Account No. 4.4 to cover unanticipated maintenance expense on heavy equipment and that this appropria- tion transfer is necessary in order to enable the City to main- tain streets and public facilities and to maintain its credit and reputation in honoring obligations, which action on the part of the City is in the best interests of the public health, safety and welfare; now therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, welfare and safety shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
