AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF ONE THOUSAND FIVE
HUNDRED FIFTY AND N01100 DOLLARS ($11550.00) TO PROVIDE
FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF A TRAFFIC CONTROL
DEVICE AT THE ARKANSAS BLIND SCHOOL; AMENDING ORDINANCE
N0. 110241, SAME BEING THE BUDGET ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK FOR THE YEAR 19621, TO PROVIDE FOR SAME;
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
• SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from unappropriated
surplus in the Street Fund to the Traffic Engineering Account No.
87, the sum of One Thousand Five Hundred Fifty and No /100 Dollars
($1,550.00) to provide for the purchase and installation of a Traffic
Control Device at the Arkansas Blind School.
SECTION 2. Subsection c. under Section NN.(7) of Ordinance No.
11,241, same being the Budget Ordinance of the City of Little Rock
for the year 1962, is hereby amended to read as follows:

SECTION 3. It has been found and determined that there is a
dire need for a Traffic Control Device at the Arkansas Blind School
in order to protect the safety of those persons attending said School
who find it necessary to cross West Markham Street; now therefore,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being
necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval.
