AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED
TWENTY ONE AND 49/100 DOLLARS ($1,521.49) TO PROVIDE
FOR THE REFUND OF A BUILDING PERMIT FEE; AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 11,241, SAME BEING THE BUDGET ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK FOR THE YEAR 1962, TO PROVIDE
FOR SAME; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Pickens -Bond Construction Company was issued a
Building Permit to build an apartment building at Cantrell Road
and Cedar Streets, which construction has been abandoned; and
WHEREAS, the said Construction Company has requested a refund
of the One Thousand Five Hundred Twenty One and 49/100 Dollars
($1,521.49) paid for this permit; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors desires to honor such
request;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated One Thousand Five
Hundred Twenty One and 49/100 Dollars ($1,521.49) from unappro-
priated surplus in the General Fund to Collector - Account No.
41, which appropriation is to provide for a refund of moneys
paid for a Building Permit by Pickens -Bond Construction Company
for an apartment building at Cantrell Road and Cedar Streets.
SECTION 2. Subsection b. under Section G.(4) of Ordinance
No. 11,241, same being the Budget Ordinance of the City of Little
Rock for the year 1962, is hereby amended to read as follows:

SECTION 3. It has been found and determined that additional
money is needed in the Budget Account of the Collector in order

that he might refund moneys collected by him when such refunds
are deemed necessary and prudent, and that, in such instances,
it is in the best interest of the City of Little Rock and the
citizens of said City that refunds be made as speedily as possible;
now therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public
peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.
