AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 113,241,
AS AMENDED, SAME BEING THE BUDGET ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK FOR 1962, BY MAKING TRANSFERS FROM SURPLUS ACCOUNTS
WITHIN THE BUDGET TO A DEFICIT ACCOUNT WITHIN THE BUDGET; DE-
CLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, certain Departments of the City have surplus moneys
in certain of their budget accounts; and
WHEREAS, the Civil Defense Department of the City of Little Rock
needs additional moneys to purchase equipment needed to facilitate the
management of said Department; and
WHEREAS, certain transfers from surplus accounts within the
Budget to the deficit account of the Civil Defense Department should
be made; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend certain sections of Ordinance
No. 11,241, same being the Budget Ordinance of the City of Little Rock
for the year 1962, in order to make such transfers;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. In order to make moneys available in a deficit ac-
count within the Budget of the City of Little Rock for 1962, the
Board of Directors hereby approves transfers in the amounts and from
the surplus accounts within the Budget, identified hereinafter, to
Civil Defense Account 7.5 Signal Systems as follows:

Rock for the year 1962 is hereby amended to read as follows:

transferred from the aggregate of all appropriations in Subsections
a. through g. under Section Z(1) of Ordinance No. 11,241 to Civil
Defense Account 7.5 Signal Systems.

11,241 is hereby amended to read as follows:

SECTION 15. It has been found and determined that in order
to facilitate the proper management of the Civil Defense Department
of the City of Little Rock, certain equipment must be purchased and
certain transfers made within the Budget to cover the purchase price
of said equipment; now therefore, an emergency is hereby declared

to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of
the public peace, health and safety shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
