AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SEWER MPROVENENT DISTRICT NO. 136
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of two - thirds
or more in assessed value of real property located within
the territory hereinafter described have filed a petition
praying that an improvement district be established for
the purpose hereinafter set out, and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the
Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
has heard all the parties desiring to be heard, and has
ascertained that said petition was signed by two - thirds
or more in assessed value of the owners of real property
within said territory: now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established an improvement
district embracing the following property in the City of
Little Rock, County of Pulaski, State of Arkansas, to -wit:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Block 4, C.
Phil Water is Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, said point being the southeast corner
of nest 8th and Clary Streets; thence South along
the east property line of Clary Street to the south
property line of West 12th Street; thence Nest along
the south property line of West 12th Street to the
northwest corner of Lot 5, Block 1, Coxts Subdivi-
sion of Block 4, West End Subdivision; thence South
along the west line of said Lot 5 to the southwest
corner thereof; thence east along the south property
line of Lots 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 to the west property
line of Leander Street; thence South along the west
property line of Leander Street to the southeast
corner of Lot 12, Block 1, Coxes Subdivision; thence
East crossing Block 3, West End Subdivision and
crossing Caruth Street, to the northeast corner of
West 13th Street and Caruth Street; thence East
along the north property line of Test 13th Street
to the northeast corner of West 13th and Cox Streets;
thence South along the east property line of Cox
Street to the north property line of West 14th
Street; thence East along the north property line
of West 14th Street to the west property line of
Clary Street; thence Easterly to the northeast
corner of Nest 14th and Clary Streets; thence
East along the north line of nest 14th Street to
the southeast corner of Lot 9, Block 3, Cansler l s

along the east line of said Lot 9, Block 6, and the

thence run West along the south line of said Lot
3 to the southwest corner thereof; thence North
along the west line of Lots 3, 2 and 1, said Block
8, to the northwest corner of said Lot 1; thence
East along the north line of said Lot 1 to its
intersection with the west property line of
University Avenue; thence North along the west
property line of University Avenue to the south_
line of Lot 1, Block 7, Cox's Subdivision of
Taylor & Bodeman's Addition; thence West along
the south line of said Lot 1 to the southwest
corner thereof; thence North along the west line
of Lot 1, Block 7, and crossing West 18th Street
and the west line of Lot 6, Block 6, Cox's Sub-
division of Taylor & Bodeman's Addition to the
northwest corner of said Lot 6; thence East along
the north line of said Lot 6 to the west property
line of University Avenue; thence North along the
west property line of University Avenue to the
south line of Lot 1, Block 6, Cox's Subdivision
of Taylor & Bodeman's Addition; thence West along
the south line of said Lot 1 to the southwest
corner thereof; thence North along the west line
of Lot 1, Block 6, and crossing Test 17th Street
and continue North along the west line of Lots 6,
5, 4, 3 and 2, Block 5, Cox's Subdivision of Taylor
& Bodeman's Addition; thence East along the north
line of said Lot 2 to the west property line of
University Avenue; thence North along the west
property line of University Avenue to the south
line of Lot 1, Block 1, Cox's Subdivision of
Taylor & Bodeman's Addition; thence West along
the south line of Lots 1 and 2 of said Block
1 to the southwest corner thereof; thence North
along the west line of said Lot 2 and crossing
West 12th Street to the north property line
thereof; thence West along the north property
line of West 12th Street to the southwest
corner of Lot 6, Block 16, Sanderfur's Addition;
thence North along the west line of said Lot 6
to the northwest corner thereof; thence East
along the north line of Lots 6, 5 and 4, said
Block 16 to the west property line of University
Avenue; thence North along the west property
line of University Avenue to the south line
of Lot 1, Block 9, Sanderfur's Addition; thence
West along the north line of Lots 2 and 11, said
Block 9, and crossing Garfield Street to the
west property line thereof; thence North along
the west property line of Garfield Street to
the south line of Lot 1, Block 7, Sanderfur's
Addition; thence West along the south line of
Lot 1, said Block 7, to the southwest corner
thereof; thence North along the west line of
said Lot 1, Block 7, crossing West 9th Street
and continue North along the west line of Lots
6 through 1, Block 2, Sanderfurts Addition
to the south line of West 8th Street; thence
West along the south property line of West
8th ,Street to the northwest corner of Block
4, C. Phil Viaterrs Addition, and the point of
beginning;
,for the purpose of constructing within the district a sanitary
sewer collection system to connect with the basic sanitary
sewer system of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and to
construct a sewer line beyond the boundaries of the sewer
district, if necessary, to make the desired connection with
the sanitary sewer system of Little Rock, Arkansas, in the
manner and of the materials that the Commissioners for the
district shall deem for the best interest of the district,
and that the cost thereof be assessed upon the real property
above - described according to the benefits received.
Said district shall be known as ",3ewer Improvement
.District No. 136 of Little Rock, Arkansas". and Samuel
.D. Gray, Robert L. Case and J. A. &ilam, who are owners
of real property in said district, are hereby named Commis-
sioners and shall compose the Board of Improvement for said
district.
:SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage.
