ORDINANCE NO. 11 2 344
AN ORDINANCE REDUCING THE ANNUAL LEVY
TO BE MADE FOR THE YEAR 1963 ON THE OWNERS OF
EACH OF THE SEVERAL BLOCKS, LOTS AND PARCELS
OF LAND WITHIN STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
NUMBER 605 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, AS A FINAL LEVY IN SAID DISTRICT
WHEREAS, Street Improvement District No. 605 of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, was created by Ordinance No. 9911 and 9986 of 1955; and
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
enacted Ordinance No. 10,059 of 1956, which assessed the real property within
said district according to the benefits received by each and every lot and
parcel of land at ten (10X) per cent of the total benefits; and
WHEREAS, the original assessment of ten per cent of the total
benefits is not now necessary in order to pay all of the outstanding bonds,
coupons, and administrative expenses of the district and close it out; and
WHEREAS, No readjustment of assessments has been made since the
original ordinance assessing the value of benefits in said district,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That said several blocks, lots, and parcels of real
property in said district be assessed for the year 1963 according to the
original assessment for said improvement district as same is now on file in the
office of the City Clerk, except that said annual levy be reduced from ten
(10X) per cent to a levy of five and seventy -three hundredths (5.73X) per cent
of the assessment of each of said blocks, lots, and parcels, and same shall be

collected by the County Collector in the year 1963 at the time and in the
manner that improvement district taxes are now collected with the general
taxes becoming due on the third Monday in February, 1963.
SECTION 2. That no further assessments of benefits, or levy, shall
be made for said district subsequent to the reduction in Levy to 5.73 per cent
for the year 1963.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
