AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THAT PORTION
OF L STREET BETWEEN McADOO AND MELLON STREETS (SOUTH 2 LOCATED
IN THE SUCCESS ADDITION AND NORTH -"2 LOCATED IN THE RIFFEL &
RHOTON'S FORREST PARK HIGHLAND ADDITION) LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed by all of the owners of all
property abutting that portion of L Street between McAdoo and Mellon
Streets (South 2 located in the Success addition and North 2 located in
the Riffel and Rhoton's Forrest Park Highland Addition) Little Rock,
Arkansas, on the d7 _ day of jw�—� , 1962, asking the
Board of Directors to vacate and abandon all of said street, which,
according to the official plat of record in Plat Book 1, Page 128, and
Plat Book 1, Page 18 in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, lies and is situated between McAdoo and Mellon Streets (South
2 located in the Success - ddition and North 2 located in the Riffel and
Rhoton's Forrest Park Highland Addition) Little Rock, Arkansas, subject
however, to any public easement in said street; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of Directors
has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons
desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained; that the street
has heretofore been dedicated to the public use as a street; that said
street has not been actually opened or used by the public since the
filing of the plat; that all of the owners of the property abutting upon
the street to be vacated have filed with the Board of Directors their
written consent to such abandonment; and that public interest and wel-
fare will not be adversely effected by the abandonment of such street;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS;
SECTION I: The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the
public generally, in and to the street designated as follows:

That portion of L Street between McAdoo and Mellon Streets
(South 2 located in the Success :addition and North 2 located in
the Riffel & Rhoton's Forrest Park Highland Addition) Little
Rock, Arkansas, which, according to the official plat of record
in Plat Book 1, Page 128 and Plat Book 1, Page 18, in the Office
of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
provided however, that the rights now held by the public utility company
under the laws of the State of Arkansas are under grants heretofore made
by the City of Little Rock to use the street described herein, for the
location and operation of its lines, circuits, and facilities for the
furnishing of public utility services shall not be abrogated, diminished,
or changed by the enactment of this ordinance.
SECTION II: A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by the City
Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County
and recorded in the deed record records of the County.
SECTION III: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
