AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
A CERTAIN PORTION OF SOUTH ROAD WEST FROM PINE
VALLEY ROAD IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKAN-
SAS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 13t
day of February _ , 1963, praying that the Board of
Directors vacate, abandon and close a certain portion of South
Road west from Pine Valley Road, which is described below; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board
of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice,
heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has
ascertained that the portion of the street which is described
below, has been dedicated to the public use as a street in the
manner herein described; that the petitioner is a religious and
educational institution; that the location of said street will be
changed and extended; that public interest and welfare will not
be adversely affected by the abandonment of the portion of said
street.
Now, therefore, be it ordained by the Board of Directors
lof the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together,with the
rights of the public generally, in and to the portion of the
street designated as follows:
South Road west from Pine Valley Road
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 14
Westover Hills Subdivision of Little Rock,
Arkansas, at a.point where it intersects
Pine Valley Road, thence in a westerly
direction along north side of South Road
a distance of 140.4 feet to a point, thence
south 40 feet to a point on the south side
of South Road, thence in a easterly direction
along the south side of South Road a distance
of approximately 210 feet to a point on the
north side of Lot 21 Westover Hills Sub-
division of Little Rock, Arkansas, where it
intersects with Pine Valley Road, thence in
a northwesterly direction along the west side

of Pine Valley Road a distance of approximately
70 feet to the point of beginning.
Section 2. A copy of the ordinance duly certified by
the city clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of
Pulaski County and recorded in the deed records of Pulaski County.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be
enforced from and after its passage.
