ORDINANCE NO. 11,376
AN ORDINANCE TO ABANDON AND VACATE A PORTION OF NORTH
VALENTINE STREET SITUATED BETWEEN BLOCK 10, EAST PULASKI
HEIGHTS ADDITION TO THE CITY. OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,
AND BLOCK 7, AUTEN AND MOSS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND WHICH EXTENDS NORTH FROM
HILL ROAD TO "H" STREET
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 13th day of
February, 1963, asking the Board of Directors to vacate and abandon
a portion of a street, hereinafter described, now known as North
Valentine Street, but which is designated as Walnut Street on the
original plat of East Pulaski Heights Addition to the City of
Little Rock, said plat appearing of record in Deed Record Book
76 at Page 452, in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board has,
at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons
desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the
street, hereinafter described, has heretofore been dedicated to
the public use as a street; has never been opened as a street nor
actually used by the public generally since its dedication, which
was more than five years prior to the filing of said petition;
that petitioners,all of the owners of the property abutting upon
the portion of the street to be vacated, have filed with the Board
their written consent to such abandonment; and that the public
interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandon-
ment of such street.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights together with the
rights of the public generally, except for the rights and needs
of public utilities, including the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer
System and Arkansas Power and Light Company, for ingress and
egress to maintain any existing utility lines, including sewer
and electric power lines, in said area, and except for the rights
and needs of the City of Little Rock for ingress and egress to
control drainage in said area, in and to the street designated
as follows:
That portion of North Valentine Street (originally
designated as Walnut Street on the official plat
of East Pulaski Heights Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, which is recorded in Deed
Record Book 76, at Page 452, in the office of the
Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas), which
divides Block 10, East Pulaski Heights Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Block
7, Auten and Moss Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, and more particularly described
as follows:
Commencing at the Northwest Corner of Block 10,
East Pulaski Heights Addition to the City of
Little Rock, thence South along the west line
of Block 10 to the Southwest Corner of Block 10,
thence West to the Southeast Corner of Block 7,
Auten and Moss Addition to the City of Little
Rock, thence North along the east line of Block
7, thence East to the point of beginning.
Section 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by
the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of
the County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.

Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
