AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING TWENTY FOUR THOUSAND FOUR
HUNDRED FORTY SEVEN tiND 10 /100 DOLLARS ($24,447.10)
FROM THE ARKANSAS ARTS CENTER CONSTRUCTION FUND TO
PAY FINAL ESTIMATES SUBMITTED ON CONSTRUCTION OF THE
ARKANSAS ARTS CENTER IN MacARTHUR PARK; AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT THEREFOR; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER
PURFOSS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BO,'iRD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCTK,
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the Arkansas
Arts Center Construction i'und the sum of Twenty Four Thousand Four
Hundred Forty Seven and 10/100 Dollars ($24,447.10) for the final pay-
ment of estimates or invoices or both submitted by the Architect and
the Board of Trustees of the Arkansas Arts Center, or its Building Com-
mittee, relating to the construction of the Arkansas Arts Center in Mac-
Arthur Park.
SECTION 2. The City Manager and Director of Finance are here-
by authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant or warrants
against the sum herein appropriated upon final estimates or invoices or
both submitted, which have been approved by the Architect for the con-
struction project and the Board of Trustees of the Arkansas Arts Center,
or its Buildin Committee.

SECTION 3. 'JMERE_'S, construction has been completed on the
Arkansas Arts Center in MacArthur Park and certain final estimates have
been submitted arising from the construction performed by the Contractor
of said project; and I-1HER ,16, in order to meet obligations of the City
under its contract, it is necessary that certain sums be appropriated
to permit such payments; NOil THEREFORE, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the
public peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage.
