AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
A PORTION OF THE NORTH-SOUTH ALLEY LOCATED
WITHIN BLOCK 32, BRAGG' S SECOND ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, WHICH NORTH -
SOUTH ALLEY ADJOINS THE EAST BOUNDARY LINE OF
LOTS 5 TO 13, INCLUSIVE, OF SAID BLOCK 32,
BRAGG' S SECOND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE
110CK, ARKANSAS, AND ALSO A PORTION OF EAST 24TH
STREET LOCATED EAST OF MCA LMONT STREET WHICH
PORTION OF EAST 24TH STAEET ADJOINS THE SOUTH
BOUNDARY LINE OF LOT 13, OF SAID BLOCK 32,
BR.AGG' S SECOND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE

WHEREAS, a Petition and Amendment thereto were duly filed
by the Little Zock School District with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, asking the Board of Direc-
tors to vacate, abandon and close a portion of the North -South
alley located within Block 32, Bragg's Second Addition to the
City of Little Rock, and also a portion of 'Last 24th Street
located East of McAlmont Street, same being more particularly
described in said Petition and Amendment thereto and hereafter;
and
WHEREAS, the Fraternal Cemetery Board has approved said
Petition in regard to said North -South alley located within Block
32, Bragg's Second Addition to the City of Little Rock, provided
that the City of Little Rock,as adjoining owner on the East receive
title to said East one -half of said alley; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of
Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the Notice,
heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has
ascertained that said North-South alley located within Block 32,
Bragg's Second Addition to the City of Little Rock, and also a
portion of East 24th Street located East of McAlmont Street are
no longer needed or required for corporate purposes or for use by
the general public and adjoining owners in that other streets are

available and used for these purposes, that Petitioner, Little
Rock School District is the only abutting landowner upon said
portion of the North -South alley located within Block 32, Bragg's
Second Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and also
said portion of East 24th Street located East of McA lmont Street,
to be vacated other than the City of Little Rock, owner of the lands
upon which the Fraternal Cemetery is located, which adjoins said
North -South alley located within Block 32, Bragg's Second Addition
on the East, and accordingly all abutting landowners have consented
to such abandonment, and that the public interest and welfare will
not be adversely affected by the abandonment thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates andabandons all its rights, together with the rights of the
public generally, in and to said portion of the North -South alley
located within Block 32, Bragg's Second Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, and also said portion of East 24th Street
located East of McA lmont Street, described as follows:
A portion of the North -South alley located within
Block 32, Bragg's Second Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, located adjacent to and East
of the East boundary line of Lots 5 to 13, inclusive,
Block 32, Bragg's Second Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 5, Block
32, Bragg's Second Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas; thence South along the West right
of way line of said North -South alley to the South-
east corner of Lot 13, Block 32, Bragg's Second
Addition to the Cityof Little Rock, Arkansas;
thence East along the extension of the South boundary
line of said Lot 13, Block 32, Bragg's Second Addi-
tion to the City of Little Rock *kansas, 20 feet to

the West boundary line of West Half (W2) SE4i
Section 11, Township 1 North, Range 12 West; thence
North along the West boundary line of said West Half
(W2) SE', Section 11, Township 1 North, Range 12
West (said boundary line being the East right of way
line of said North -South alley) , to the point of
intersection of the North boundary line of Lot 5,
Block 32, Bragg's Seoond Addition to the City cf
Little Rock, Arkansas, extended 20 feet to the East,
and the West boundary line of said West Half (W2)
SE4, Section 11, Township 1 North, Range 12 West;
thence West 20 feet to the point of beginning;
and,
A portion of East 24th Street located within Block
32, Bragg's Second Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, located East of McAlmont Street and
adjacent to and South of the South boundary line of
Lot 13, Block 32, Bragg's Second Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas; more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 13, Block
32, Bragg's Second Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas; thence East along the South boundary
line of said Lot 13 to the Southeast corner of said
Lot 13, Block 32, Bragg's Second Addition to the
City of Little Rods, Arkansas; thence South along
the West boundary line of the West Half (W2) SEk,
Section 11, Township 1 North, Range 12 West, 20 feet
to a point; thence West along a line parallel to
and 20 feet South of the South boundary line of said
Lot 13, Block 32, 167 feet to a point; thence North
20 feet along a line which is the extension of the
West boundary line of said Lot 13 extended 20 feet
to the South, 20 feet to the point of beginning;
and that the ownership thereto except as to utility easements pro-
vided for in Section 2 hereafter shall vest in said owner of the
abutting property, Little Rock School District, except the East
one -half of said North -South alley located within Block 32,
Bragg's Second Addition, shall vest in the City of Little Rock, the
owner of the lands adjoining same on the East.
Section 2. The rights now held by any public utility company,
under the laws of the State of Arkansas or under grants heretofore
made by the City of Little Rock, Arkazas, to use the North -South
alley located within Block 32, Bragg's Second Addition to the City

the West boundary line of West Half (W2) SE4i
Section 11, Township 1 North, Range 12 West; thence
North along the West boundary line of said West Half
(W2) SE', Section 11, Township 1 North, Range 12
West (said boundary line being the East right of way
line of said North -South alley) , to the point of

Section 2. The rights now held by any public utility company,
under the laws of the State of Arkansas or under grants heretofore
made by the City of Little Rock, Arkazas, to use the North -South
alley located within Block 32, Bragg's Second Addition to the City

of Little Rock, Arkansas, and also said portion of East 24th Stnet
located East of McA lmont Street, as described above in Section 1,
for the location and operation of lines and facilities for the
furnishing of public utility services, shall not be abrogated,
diminished or changed by the enactment of this Ordinance, and
utility easements now in effect are specifically excepted from
this closing.
Section 3. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of
Pulaski County, Arkansas, and recorded in the deed records of
said County.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and approval.
Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
