HomeMy WebLinkAbout206382012063602 Received: 10/3/2012 12:31:53 PNi Recorded: 10/03/2012 12:42:24 PM Filed & Recorded in Official Records of Larry Crane, PULASKI COUNTY CIRCUIT /COUNTY CLERK Fees $20.00 1 ORDINANCE NO. 20,638 2 3 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE LITTLE ROCK PLANNING 4 BOUNDARY (ORDINANCE 18,488); TO MOVE THE BOUNDARY 5 NORTH BETWEEN INTERSTATE 530 AND THE ARKANSAS RIVER; 6 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, Arkansas Act 186 of 1957 permits cities of the first and second class to approve a 9 planning area of five (5) miles for subdivision review and other planning issues; and, 10 WHEREAS, in order to ensure quality growth, the City of Little Rock finds a need to implement 11 subdivision and other planning controls outside the current City limits in areas which may reasonably 12 become part of the City in the future; and, 13 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission recommends the Board of Directors approve the 14 revision to planning boundary map as shown on the attached map; 15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 16 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. The Planning Boundary is changed as follows: Starting at the SE corner of the NE '/4 NE 18 '/4 Section 5, T -1 -S, R -11 -W on the Little Rock Planning Boundary set with Ordinance No. 18,488 of 19 2001; thence north along the west boundary line of Section 5, T -1 -S, R -11 -W to the NE corner of said 20 section; thence east along the south boundary line of Sections 32 and 33, T -1 -N, R -1 1 -W to the SE 21 corner of Section 33, T -1 -N, R -11 -W; thence north along the east boundary line of Section 33, T -1 -N, R- 22 11 -W to the NE corner of said section; thence east along the north boundary line of Sections 34 and 35, 23 T -1 -N, R -11 -W to the centerline of the Arkansas River; thence continuing north, west, south and east 24 along the current Planning Boundary (Ordinance No. 18,488) to the point of beginning. 25 Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage. 26 27 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 28 word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and 30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 31 ordinance. 32 Section 5. Repealer.
