AN ORDINANCE TO ABANDON AND VACATE A PORTION OF
TILLITT STREET SITUATED BETWEEN LOTS 7, 8, 9, 10
AND 11 AND LOTS 129 132 14, 15 AND 16, HOLLIS AND
BUTLER'S SUBDIVISION OF THE NORTH ONE -HALF OF THE
NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER (N� NW's,
SW') OF SECTION 19, TOWNSHIP 1 NORTH, RANGE 12 WEST
IN PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS, NOW IN THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Board of Directors of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 19th day of March, 1964,
asking the Board of Directors to vacate and abandon a portion of a
street, hereinafter described, which is designated as Tillitt Street
on the original plat of Hollis and Butler's Subdivision of the North
One -Half of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (N'k NWk
SW') of Section 19, Township 1 North, Range 12 West in Pulaski County,
Arkansas, now in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, said plat appear-
ing of record in Plat Book 1 at page 184, in the office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board has, at
the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring
to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the street, here-
inafter described, has heretofore been dedicated to the public use as
a street; has never been open as a street nor actually used by the
public generally since its dedication, which was more than five years
prior to the filing of said petition; that petitioners are all the
owners of the property abutting upon the portion of the street to be
vacated and have filed with the Board their written consent to such
abandonment; and that the public interest and welfare will not be

adversely affected by the abandonment of such street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights together with the rights of the
public generally, except for the rights and needs of public utilities,
including the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer System, for ingress and egress
to maintain any existing utility lines, including sewer lines, in said
area, and except for the rights and needs of the City of Little Rock
for ingress and egress to control drainage in said area, in and to
the street designated as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of Lot 7 Hollis and
Butler's Subdivision of the North One -Half of the North-
west Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (Nk NWk SWk) of
Section 19, Township 1 North, Range 12 West in Pulaski
County, Arkansas, now in the City of Little Rock, Ark-
ansas, thence West a distance of 607 feet along the
South line of Lots 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 of the said Sub-
division to the Southwest corner of Lot 11; thence
South 40 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 12; thence
East a distance of 607 feet along the North line of Lots
12, 133, 143, 15 and 16 to a point; thence North 40 feet
to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City
Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of the County and
recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
