HomeMy WebLinkAbout11477* wit, ORDINANCE NO. 113477 ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING PART OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 3, MASONIC ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 7th day of February, 1964, asking the Board of Directors to vacate and abandon part of an alley in Block 3, Masonic Addition to the City of Little Rock, as designated on the plat of said Addition now appearin- of record in Deed Book AB, Page 203, in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, subject, however, to any public easements in said alley; and WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the alley, more particularly described hereinbelow, is not neces- sary or required for public use or purposes; public interest or wel- fare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of same; and in order to further provide for the public welfare, safety, comfort and convenience, it is in the best interests of the City of Little Rock to vacate said alley. Said City has the authority pursuant to Ark. Stat. 19 -2301 to pass an ordinance vacating said alley. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the alley designated as follows: Part of that certain alley 20 feet in width running north and south in the middle of Block 3, Masonic Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 1, said Block, thence run in a southerly direction 150 feet more or less to the southwest corner of Lot 3, said Block, thence run in a westerly direction 20 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 12, said Block, thence run in a northerly direction 150 feet more or less to the northeast corner of Lot 10, said Block, thence run in an easterly direction 20 feet to the point of beginning; subject, however, to any public utility easements located in said alley. SECTION 2. A copy-of this Ordinance, duly certified by the -City Clerk, shall be.filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County,.and recorded in the Deed Records of the County. SECTION 3.. This-Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. ADOPTED: April 20, 1964 ATTEST: City Clerk APPR ED: n Mayor
