ORDINANCE NO. 11.459
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION OF
PORTIONS OF SECTIONS 16, 17, 20, 212 222
27, 28, 292 32, 33, and 34, TOWNSHIP 2
NORTH. RANGE 13 WEST, PULASKI COUNTY ,
ARKANSAS, TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
AND MAKING SAME A PART OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK AND ASSIGNING SAME TO WARDS;
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed on the 7th day
of October, 1963, with the County Clerk of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, by residents, inhabitants and landowners of the
hereinafter described territory, praying that said territory
be annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, and
WHEREAS, on the 6th day of December, 1963, the
County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, permitted an
amendment of said petition and entered an order finding
that the petition, as amended, was signed by a majority of
the landowners in the area, among them owning a majority
of such area; that said area was contiguous and adjoining
the present corporate limits of the City of Little Rock;
that an accurate plat of said territory had been filed with
andmade a part of said amended petition; that proper notice
had been given for the time and in the manner prescribed by
law and that all thingQ pertaining thereto had been done in
the manner prescribed by law and that said lands and territory
should be annexed to and made a part of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, subject to the acceptance of same by the
Board of Directors of said City at the proper time as pro-
vided by law, and
WHEREAS, the time fixed by law for appealing from
said order of annexation made by the County Court has

expired and no appeal has been taken from said order;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD
OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the following described lands
and territory, contiguous and adjoining the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, be, and the same are, hereby
accepted as part of and annexed to and made a part of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Beginning at a point in the existing City Limit Line
in the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
said point being the Southeast corner of the West Half
of the West Half (W2 W2), Section 2-i, Township 2 North,
Range 13 West, and also being on the North line of
Section 34, Township 2 North, Range 13 West;
Thence southerly and along the East line of the West
Half of the West Half (W2 Wa2), Section 34, to the
Southeast corner of the Northwest Quarter of the
Northwest Quarter (NW4 NW'k) of said Section 34;
Thence westerly along the South line of the Northwest
Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (NWT NWk), Section 34,
to a point on the South right of way line of Rodney
Parham Road;
Thence northwesterly and westerly along the meanders
of the South right of way of Rodney Parham Road to
the North and South centerline of Section 33, Town-
ship 2 North, Range 13 West;
Thence northerly to a point on the North and South
centerline of Section 28, Township 2 North, Range 13
West, which is 20.0 feet North of the South line of
said Section 28;
Thence westerly and parallel to the South lines of
Section 28 and Section 29, Township 2 North, Range 13
West, to the North and South centerline of said
Section 29;
Thence northerly along the North and South centerline
of said Section 29 to the North line of said Section 29;
Thence easterly and along the North line of said
Section 29 and Section 28, Township 2 North, Range 13
West, to the Northwest corner of the Northeast Quarter
of the Northeast Quarter (NE'k NEk), Section 28;

Thence South 880 56' East for a distance of 1308.40
feet;
Thence North 00 47' West for a distance of 512.0 feet
to the Northeast corner of Section 28;
Thence North for a distance of 455.7 feet to a point;
Thence North 350 17' East to the South right of way
line of Arkansas State Highway No. 10;
Thence northwesterly and along the said South right of
way line of Arkansas State Highway No. 10 to the West
line of the East Half of the East Half (E2 E2),
Section 21;
Thence North to the North right of way line of said
ArKaLlsas State Highway No. 10;
Thence northwesterly and along the said northerly right
of way line of Arkansas State Highway No. 10 to a point
300.0 feet East of the West line of said Section 21;
Thence northerly and parallel to the said West line of
Section 21 a distance of 300.0 feet;
Thence northwesterly and parallel to the northerly
right of way line of Arkansas State Highway No. 10
to the Vast line of said Section 21;
Thence northerly and along the west line of said
Section 21 to a point which is 712.4 feet South of the
Northwest corner of said Section 21;
Thence West and parallel to the Nortn line of Section 20
a distance of 601.6 feet;
Thence North to a point 400 feet South of the South
line of Section 17;
Thence West 682.9 feet to a point;
Thence North to the South line of Section 17;
Thence West along the South line of said Section 17 a
distance of 815.0 feet;
Thence North and parallel to the East line of said
Section 17 a distance of 600.0 feet;
Thence West and parallel to the South line of said
Section 17 a distance of 1196.9 feet;

Thence North and parallel to the East line of said Section 17
a distance of 534.7 feet;
Thence West 330.0 feet;
Thence North 200.0 feet;
Thence west and parallel to the South line of said Section 17
a distance of 326.0 feet to the North and South centerline of
the west Half (W�) of said Section 17;
Thence North along the said North and South centerline of the
West Half (W3j) of Section 17 to the southerly right of way line
of the Chicago -Rock Island and Pacific Railroad;
Thence southeasterly and along the southerly right of way line of
Chicago -Rock Island and Pacific Railroad to its intersection with
the North and South centerline of the west Half CA) of Section
22;
Thence southerly and along the North and South centerline of the
West Half (A) of Sections 22 and 27 to the point of beginning.
Section 2. That the above described territory shall be
annexed to and made a part of ward No. 5 of the City of Little Rock,
and the same shall henceforth be a part of said Ward as fully as existing
parts of said Ward.
Section 3. It is hereby ascertained and declared that the
lands above described and hereby annexed are being devoted strictly to
Urban uses; that there are valuable improvements made and being made
thereon, and that said lands have been platted and developed and will be
further developed in accordance with the ordinances and regulations of
the City of Little Rock, and that in order to secure the benefits to be
derived from compliance with the ordinances and regulations of the City
of Little Rock concerning development of the above described land, it
is necessary that the said lands be immediately annexed. It is there-
fore, declared that an emergency exists and this ordinance being
necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety
of the area shall be in full force and take effect immediately on
and after its passage.
