RESOLUTION NO. 13,573
A RESOLUTION TO MODIFY THE CONTRACT WITH REDSTONE
CONSTRUCTION GROUP, INC., FOR STREET RESURFACING
WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Street resurfacing improvements are needed within the City of Little Rock to maintain
existing asphalt streets; and,
WHEREAS, citizens of the City of Little Rock approved a sales tax increase which provided funding
for these resurfacing improvements; and,
WHEREAS, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., submitted the lowest bid (Bid number 12236)
meeting specifications;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to modify an agreement with Redstone
Construction Group, Inc., from Two Million, Two Hundred Forty-Five Thousand, Two Hundred Fifty -Six
and 01 /100 Dollars ($2,245,256.01) plus 20% contingency to an amount not to exceed Three Million,
Two Hundred Sixty-Three Thousand, Five Hundred Fifty -Seven and 21/100 Dollars ($3,263,557.21).
Section 2. Funding for this project is available from funding provided by a sales tax increase
approved by citizens of the City of Little Rock.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
Section 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
