HomeMy WebLinkAbout13572I RESOLUTION NO. 13,572 2 3 4 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD AN ENGINEERING DESIGN CONTRACT 5 TO CRAFTON TULL AND ASSOCIATES FOR THE MAINSTREET 6 WATER QUALITY DEMONSTRATION AND EDUCATION GRANT 7 PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, The City has been awarded an Environmental Protection Agency grant from 10 the Arkansas Natural Resource Commission to construct water gardens, pervious sidewalk and 11 street paving, and other low impact development storm water management features on Main 12 Street, and to provide a program for public education in cooperation with the eStem School; and, 13 WHEREAS, Crafton Tull and Associates was selected through an annual statement of 14 qualification process to provide design and consulting services for the project, bid number 15 11249; 16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 18 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Crafton 19 Tull and Associates in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Forty -Three Thousand Dollars 20 ($243,000.00). 21 Section 2. Funding for this engineering contract is from the grant and in -kind contribution of 22 staff labor. Future phases of the project are to be funded through a combination of the ANRC 23 Grant ($900,000), in kind labor and services from staff and the eStem School ($211,716), the 24 2012 Grant Match Fund ($125,000) and future year grant match allocations ($342,234). 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, 26 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such 27 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall 28 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or 29 unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. Section 5.
