HomeMy WebLinkAbout135691 RESOLUTION NO. 13,569 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SCOTT EQUIPMENT COMPANY FOR 5 THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) CASE LOADER/BACKHOE 580N MODEL 6 FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS STREET OPERATIONS DIVISION, 7 UTILIZING THE HOUSTON - GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL 8 COOPERATIVE CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 0 31 32 33 34 35 WHEREAS, the Public Works Street Operations Division needs to purchase a Case Loader /Backhoe 58ON for use in the In -House Sidewalk Program; and, WHEREAS, the staff recommends the purchase of one (1) Case Loader /Backhoe 580N for the amount of Seventy -Two Thousand, One Hundred and 35/100 Dollars ($72,100.35), utilizing the Houston - Galveston Area Council Cooperative Contract, which will provide the optimal pricing and delivery options for this purchase; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with Scott Equipment Company, utilizing the Houston - Galveston Area Council Cooperative Contract, for the purchase of one (1) Case Loader /Backhoe 58ON for the Public Works Department, Street Operations Division, in the amount of Seventy -Two Thousand, One Hundred and 35/100 Dollars ($72,100.35). Section 2. Funds for this purchase will be paid from the In -House Sidewalk Program Account — 3/8- Cent Capital Improvement Sales Tax Project Funds. Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
