ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS VACATING AND CLOSING
A PORTION OF "B" AND ARTHUR STREETS SOUTH AND
EAST OF HENRY MEIROSE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK) ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 25th
day of September 1963, asking the Board of
Directors to vacate and abandon all of "B" Street lying South
of Henry Meirose Addition to the City of Little Rock, and a
part of Arthur Street lying East of Henry Meirose Addition
to the City of Little Rock, as designated on the plat of said
Addition now appearing of record in B11,at Book 1, Page 62, in the
office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, subject,
however, to any public easements in said streets; and
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the
Board of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the
notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question
and has ascertained that the streets, hereinbefore described,
has heretofore been dedicated to the public use as streets, as
herein described; have not been actually used by the public generally
for a period of at least five (5) years subsequent to the filing
of the plat; that all of the owners of the property abutting upon
the stj ato be vacated have filed with the Board of Directors
their written consent to such abandonment; and that public interest
and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of
such streets;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the
rights of the public generally, in and to the streets designated

as follows:
That part of "B" Street lying South of Henry Meirose
Addition to Little Rock, Arkansas, located in the
South Half (Sk), Northwest Quarter (NWk) Northeast
Quarter (NEk) Northeast Quarter (NEk) Section 1,
Township 1 North, Range 13 West, in Little Rock,
Arkansas, as shown by Plat recorded in Plat Book
1 at Page 62 of the records of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, and more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 26 of the
Henry Meirose Addition, run thence Easterly 660.5
feet to the Southeast Corner of Lot 14 Henry
Meirose Addition, continue in a straight line
Easterly 15 feet to a point, thence South 15
feet to a point, thence Westerly 15 feet to a
point 15 feet South of the Southeast Corner of
Lot 14 Henry Meirose Addition, thence Westerly
660.5 feet to a point 15 feet South of the South-
west Corner of Lot 26 of Henry Meirose Addition,
thence North 15 feet to the point of beginning.
Also, a part of Arthur (formerly Keller) Street
lying East of the Henry Meirose Addition aforesaid
and described more particularly as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast Corner of Lot 14
Henry Meirose Addition for a point of beginning,
run thence Easterly 15 feet along the North line
of "B" Street hereinabove described, to a point,
thence Northerly 140 feet to a point 15 feet East
of the Northwest Corner of Lot 14 Henry Meirose
Addition, thence run West 15 feet to the Northwest
Corner of said Lot 14, thence Southerly along the
East boundary line of Lot 14, 140 feet to the
point of beginning.
subject, however, to any public utility easements located in said
streets.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance duly certified
by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
