AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2 AND 4 OF ORDINANCE NO.
11,372 BY INCREASING THE PURCHASE PRICE OF PARCEL NO. 78
FROM ELEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND N01100 DOLLARS
($11,500.00) TO TWELVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND N01100
DOLLARS ($12,500.00); DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, on April 1, 1963, the Board of Directors of the City
of Little Rock passed Ordinance No. 11,372 reflecting in Section 2
thereof certain parcels of land to be acquired within the contemplated
East -West Expressway and the purchase prices thereof; and
WHEREAS, Parcel No. 78 was listed therein at a purchase price
of Eleven Thousand Five Hundred and No /100 Dollars ($11,500.00) and
said purchase price should be corrected to reflect Twelve Thousand Five
Hundred and No /100 Dollars ($12,500.00); and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock desires
to correct the error and authorize the purchase of Parcel No. 78 for
Twelve Thousand Five Hundred and No /100 Dollars ($12,500.00);
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 11,372, passed April 1,
1963, same being "An ordinance appropriating Three Hundred Thousand
Three Hundred Seventy Five and No /100 Dollars ($300,375.00) for right-
of-way for the East -West Expressway; providing for purchase of certain
parcels of land; declaring an emergency; and for other purposes. ", is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 2. The parcels which the City Manager is hereby
authorized to acquire and the approved appraisal and purchase
price thereof are as follows:

SECTION 2. Section 4. of said Ordinance No. 11,372 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 4. There is hereby appropriated the sum of
Three Hundred One Thousand Three Hundred Seventy Five and
No /100 Dollars ($301,375.00) from the City of Little Rock
Street Right -of -Way Fund, Project 1- Expressway, for the
purposes set forth in the above sections hereof."
SECTION 3. It is hereby found by the Board of Directors of

the City of Little Rock that in order to purchase Parcel No. 78
within the contemplated East -West Expressway that an additional
One Thousand and No /100 Dollars ($1,000.00) is needed; that the price
of Twelve Thousand Five Hundred and No /100 Dollars ($12,500.00) is
advantageous to the City and that the acquisition of this parcel
should be made immediately in order to provide for immediate acquisi-
tion of right -of -way for the Expressway; now therefore, an emergency
is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for
the public peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
