ORDINANCE NO. 11,671
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, OF A TRACT OF LAND DESCRIBED AS:
Part of Section 34, Township 2 North, Range 13 West,
Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly described as:
The Nk SWk of said Section, except the S'k SEk NWk SWk;
and part of the SEk NWk of said Section, all of said
property sought to be annexed being described by metes
and bounds as follows: Beginning at the SE corner of
the NEk SWk of said Section 34, thence Veit 1320.4 feet
to the West line of said NEk SWk. thence N 10 18' 34" W -
330 feet along said West line, thence West - 661.1 feet,
thence S 10 18' 34" E - 330 feet to the South line of NWk SWk
of said section, thence West along South line - 698.17 feet
to the West line of said NWk SWk, thence N. 00 30' 22" E -
1323.53 feet along said West line to the North line of said
NWk SWk, thence N 890 20' 15" E - 1317.07 feet along said
North line to the West line of the SEk NWk of said section,
thence N 10 06' 35" W - 1072.03 feet along said West line
to the South line of County Rd. (Rodney Parham), thence
S 540 06' E - 585.10 feet along said South line, thence
S 480 50' 05" E - 477.20 feet along said South line, thence
S 480 07' 24" W - 214.73 feet, thence S 50 50' 06" E -
282.5 feet thence S 30 29' 06" E - 14.47 feet, thence
N 890 19' 14" E - 249.9 feet, thence S 720 59' E - 421.9
feet to the East line of the NEk SWk of said section, thence
500 44' E - 1195.0 feet along said East line to the point
of beginning,
WHICH LAND IS CONTIGUOUS TO THE PRESENT CITY LIMITS AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, upon the petition of Hill and Dale, Inc. and
Pulaski Homesites, Inc., and after due notice
said petition, which notice was published for
the manner prescribed by law, the County Court
Arkansas, did on Septembet 20, 1965 enter its
area more specifically described in Section 1
City of Little Rock; and
of a hearing on
the time and in
of Pulaski County,

WHEREAS, more than thirty days have elapsed within which
any interested person could institute proceedings in the Circuit
Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas to prevent said annexation
and there appeared no protestants to this annexation; and
WHEREAS, the area hereinafter particularly described in
Section 1 hereof is contiguous to and adjoins the existing city
limits of the City of Little Rock, and all proceedings prerequisite
to the annexation of said area have been conducted as required by

WHEREAS, it is now desirable that said area as hereinafter
specifically described in Section 1 be annexed to the City of
Little Rock;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1.. That the following described territory in
Pulaski County, Arkansas, to wit:
Part of Section 34, Township 2 North, Range 13 West,
more particularly described as:
The N� SW� of said Section, except the S'k SE=A NWk SWk;
and part of the SEk NWk of said Section, all of said
property sought to be annexed being described by metes
and bounds as follows: Beginning at the SE corner of
the NEk SWk of said Section 34, thence West 1320.4 feet
to the West line of said NEk SWk, thence N 10 18' 34" W -
330 feet along said West line, thence West - 661.1 feet,
thence S 10 18' 34" E - 330 feet to the South line of NWk SWk
of said section, thence West along South line - 698.17 feet
to the West line of said NWk SWk, thence N. 00 30' 22" E -
1323.53 feet along said West line to the North line of said
NWk SWk, thence N 890 20' 15" E - 1317.07 feet along said
North line to the West line of the SEk NWk of said section,
thence N 10 06' 35" W - 1072.03 feet along said West line
to the South line of County Rd. (Rodney Parham), thence
S 540 06' E - 585.10 feet along said South line, thence
S 480 50' 05" E - 477.20 feet along said South line, thence
S 480 07' 24" W - 214.73 feet, thence S 50 50' 06" E -
282.5 feet, thence S 30 29' 06" E - 14.47 feet, thence
N 890 19' 24" E - 249.9 feet, thence S 720 59' E - 421.9
feet to the East line of the NEk SWk of said section, thence
500 44 E - 1195.0 feet along said East line to the point
of beginning,
be, and the same hereby is-accepted as annexed to, and is hereby
made a part of the incorporated area of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas; and that said lands be, and the same are hereby assigned
and attached to the Fifth Ward of said City.
SECTION 2. It is hereby ascertained and declared that the
lands above described and hereby annexed are or will be devoted
strictly to urban uses; that there are valuable improvements made
on part of same and that said lands are being platted and developed
in accordance with the Ordinances and regulations of the City of
Little Rock, and that in order to secure the benefits to be derived

from compliance with the Ordinances and regulations of the City
concerning development of the above described land, it is necessary
that the said lands be immediately annexed. It is, therefore,
declared that an emergency exists, and that this Ordinance being
necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and
safety of the area shall be in full force and take effect immediately
on and after its passage.
