ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING
KTNSWORTHY STREET.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 2nd . day
ofAugkt, 1965, . asking the Board of Directors to vacate, abandon
and close the right of way of Kinsworthy Street, as described in
the Dedication Deed now appearing of record in Deed Book 434 at
Page 462 in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of
Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice,
heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has
ascertained that the Street, hereinafter described, is surrounded
on its east, north and west boundary lines by real property owned
by the petitioner, Wilson Realty, Inc., and on its south line it
abutts on East Ninth Street; that the said Street affords no
ingress or egress to or from any property owned other than by
petitioner, it is not open, improved or used as a public thorough-
fare and the vacating and closing of the said Street will not be
contrary to the public interest or welfare and public travel will
not thereby in any manner be 'impeded or affected;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights,: together with the rights of
the public generally, in and to the.Street described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the east line of the
Southeast Quarter Southeast Quarter (SEh SEA) Section
2, Township 1 North, Range 12 West, and the North line
of East Ninth Street, which point is the Northwest
corner of the intersection of East Ninth Street and
Thomas Street; thence West along the North line of
East Ninth Street 121 .f.eet to the point of beginning;
thence North parallel to the West line of Thomas
Street, 160 feet; thence West 50 feet; thence South
parallel to the West line of Thomas Street 160 feet
to the North line of East Ninth Street; thence East
along the North line of East Ninth Street, 50 feet to
the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of
Pulaski County, Arkansas, and recorded in the Deed Records of the
said County.
SECTION. 3. This ordinance shall take. effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
