ORDINANCE N0, 11,662
AN ORDINANCE CONDEMNING CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY
LOCATED IN PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS, TO BE USED FOR THE
PURPOSES OF CONSTRUCTING A PORT, ESTABLISHING AN INDUSTRIAL
PARK AND FOR RELATED FACILITIES; AND DIRECTING THE CITY
ATTORNEY TO BRING CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS AGAINST SAID
PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The following described parcels of real property
situated in-Pulaski County, Arkansas, are hereby condemned for the
purposes of construction of a port, establishing an industrial park
c and for related facilities and the City Attorney is hereby ordered and
directed to file in the proper courts condemnation proceedings against
the following described parcels of real property situated in Pulaski
0 County, Arkansas:
,q A parcel of land situated in Section 15, W2 and SET'
v Section 14 SE--L Section 9, SW4, Section 10 and part
of N2, Sechon 3, Township 1 North, Range 11 West, all
a) lying South of the Arkansas Riber and East of Fourche
Bayou; Pulaski County, Arkansas, and more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of the SE',
Section 15, Township 1 North, Range 11 West;
thence easterly along the South line of said SET,
Section 15 a distance of 1475.61 feet to the
centerline of Fourche Bayou; thence northwesterly
along the centerline of Fourche Bayou to the inter-
section of the West line of the SE4, Section 91
Township 1 North Range 11 West, said point being
approximately 23AO feet North of the Southwest corner
of said SET, Section 9; thence northerly along said
West line of SET, Section 9 to the "ordinary high
water line" of the Arkansas River; thence southeasterly
along said "ordinary high water line" to its intersection
with the east line of the NE4, Section 15 Township 1
North, Range 11 West, said point being 9 6.95 feet North
of the Southeast corner of said NEW, Section 15; thence
southerly along said east line of NE', Section 15, 200.0
feet to a point on a curve whose radius is 6,403.14 feet;
thence southeasterly along said curve a distance of
5,535.64 feet to a point ! said point being 3,317.44 feet
east and 434.33 feet South of the Southeast corner of
SW4, Section 14, Township 1 North, Range 11 West; thence
Northwesterly 17610.00 feet to a point, said point being
2,143.78 feet east and 31.00 feet South of said South-
east corner of SW4, Section 14; thence Westerly 385.00
feet to a point, said point being 11758.78 feet east and
31.00 feet south of said Southeast corner of SW4,
Section 14; thence Northerly 31.00 feet to a.point on
the South line of said Section 14; thence Westerly along
South line of said Section 14: and 15 2,883.71 feet to
the point of beginning, and containing 486 acres more
or less.
Said property is owned by W. H. Griffin and Wilsie Griffin,
his wife.

The properties hereinabove described are necessary for the
purpose of creating, constructing and developing a port facility
and terminal and an industrial park and related facilities.
SECTION 2. The City Attorney is further authorized to secure
an Order of the Court allowing the City to take immediate possession
of the properties hereinabove described upon, the posting of a bond
In an amount to be determined by the Court. The City Attorney is
authorized to have posted on behalf of the City a bond in an amount
to be determined by the Court pending final determination of the
condemnation proceedings.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
