HomeMy WebLinkAbout11620�w ORDINANCE NO. 11,620 AN ORDINANCE CONDEMNING CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS, TO BE USED FOR THE PURPOSES OF CONSTRUCTING A PORT, ESTABLISHING AN INDUSTRIAL PARK AND FOR RELATED FACILITIES; AND DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO BRING CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS AGAINST SAID PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The following described parcels of real property situated in Pulaski County, Arkansas, are hereby condemned for the purposes of constructing a port, establishing an industrial park and for related facilities and the City Attorney is hereby ordered and directed to file in the proper courts condemnation proceedings against the following described parcels of real property situated in Pulaski County, Arkansas: The Southwest Quarter of Section 16, 160 acres; The Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 16, 40 acres; and That part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 17 lying East of Fourche Bayou, 97 acres, more or less, All in Township 1 North, Range 11 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas. Said property is apparently owned by Edgar P. Feeley and A. F. Housq,as Trustees of the Trust created by the Last Will of ben J. Field, deceased, The properties hereinabove described are necessary for the purpose of creating, constructing and developing a port facility and terminal and an industrial park and related facilities. SECTION 2. The City Attorney is further authorized to secure an Order of the Court allowing the City to take immediate possession of the properties hereinabove described upon the posting of a bond in an amount to be determined by the Court. The City Attorney is authorized to have posed on behalf of the City a bond in an amount to be determined by the Court pending final determination of the condemnation proceedings.
