AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
RINGO STREET BETWEEN WEST 16TH STREET AND WRIGHT
AVENUE IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, AZKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a Petition was duly filed by the Little Rock School
District of Pulaski County, Aik ansas, and the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, with the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, asking the Board of Directors to vacate, abandon and
close Ringo Street between West 16th Street and Wright Avenue, same
being more particularly described in said Petition and hereafter; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of
Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in said Notice, heard
all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that Ringo Street between West 16th Street and Wright Avenue is no
longer needed or required for corporate purposes or for use by the
general public and adjoining owners in that other streets are avail-
able and used for these purposes, that Petitioners, Little Rock
School District of Pulaski County, Arkansas, and the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, are the only abutting landowners adjoining Ringo
Street between West 16th Street and Wright Avenue to be vacated,
and accordingly all abutting landowners have consented to such
abandonment, and that the public interest and welfare will not be
adversely affected by the abandonment thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacated and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of
the public generally, in and to Ringo Street between West 16th
Street and Wright Avenue, described as follows:

Ringo Street between West 16th Street and Wright Avenue,
in the City of Little "ock, Pulaski County,Arkansas, more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Block 272, Original
City of Little Rock, said corner being the point of inter-
section of the South right -of -way line of West 16th STreet
and the vast right -of -way line of Ringo Street; thence
South along the East right -of -way line of Ringo Street and
along the West boundary lines of Blocks 272, 273 and 274,
Original City of Little Rock, to the North right -of -way
line of Wright Avenue; thence in a Southwesterly direction
to the Southeast corner of Block 278, Original City of
Little Rock, said corner being the point of intersection of
the West right -of -way line of Ingo Street and the North
right -of -way line of Wright Avenue; thence North along the
West right -of -way line of lingo Street, being the East
boundary lines of Blocks 278, 279 and 280, Original City of
Little Rock, to the South right -of -way line of West 16th
Street, being the Northeast corner of Block Z80, Original
City of Little Rock; thence East along the South right -of-
way line of West 16th Street to the point of beginning;
and the ownership thereof shall vest in Petitioners as the sole abut-
ting owners thereof, Petitioner, City of Little bock, Arkansas, to be
vested title to the East one -half (E2) of Ingo Street located West
of Blocks 272 and 273, Original City of Little Rock, and Petitioner,
Little Rock School District, tobe vested title to the remainder thereof.
Section 2. The rights now held by any public utility company,
under the laws of the Mate of cirkansas or under grants heretofore
made by the City of Little hock, Arkansas, to use Ringo Street
between West 16th Street and Wright Avenue, as described above in
Section 1, for the location and operation of lines and facilities for
the furnishing of public utility services, shall not be abrogated,
diminished or changed by the enactment of this Ordinance, and utility
easements now in effect are specifically excepted from this closing.
Section 3. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County, Arkansas, and recorded in the deed records of said County.
Section 4. The redevelopment of the lands now owned by
Petitioner, Little Rock School District of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
will be seriously delayed if said street is now closed and vacated
immediately. An emergency is therefore declared to exist and this
Ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation of the

public welfare sha11 take effect immediately upon its passage
and approval.
Section 5. all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
