AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FOUR THOUSAND
AND N0 1100 DOLLARS ($4,000.00) FOR THE
ACQUISITION OF IMPROVED STREET :TIGHT -OF -WAY
IN AND ALONG EVERGREEN STREET, WEST FROM
ITS JUNCTURE UiITH MIISSISSIPPI AVENUE;
DI ECTING PAYMENT THEREOF; AND FOR GTH r
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has heretofore entered
into a contract and agreement with St. Mark's Episcopal Church
and Biscayne Corporation, all of which was approved by motion
of the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock on
September 20, 1963, and October2l, 1953, and which agreement
was signed cn January 24, 1964; and
WHEERE&AS, said contract called for the purchase by the City
of Little Rock of certain right-of-way adjacent to a proposed
extension of Evergreen Street from Mississippi Avenue West; and
WHEEAS, the City agreed to pay the sum of Four Thousand
and No /100 Dollars ($4,000.00) for street right -of -way upon
completion of the extension of Evergreen Street and improvement
of same in compliance with the regulations of this City per-
taining to the construction of streets; and
WHEREAS, all of the conditions have been fully met and
the obligation of Four Thousand and No /100 Dollars ($4,000.00)
assistance by the City in favor of Biscayne Corporation;
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated the sum of Four
Thousand and No /100 Dollars ($4,000.00) from unexpended balance
in the Street Right -of -Way Fund for the purpose of paying to
Biscayne Corporation said sum in full and complete satisfaction
of the obligation of this City under and pursuant to the afore-
said contract.
SECTION 2. The City Manager and Director of Finance are
hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant
in payment of the obligation described in Section 1 hereof.

SECTION 3. This ordinance st-oll be in full force and
effect from and after its passar.-e and approval.
