ORDINANCE NO. 11,583
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE
ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,
OF CERTAIN LANDS LOCATED IN SECTIONS SEVENTEEN
(17) and EIGHTEEN (18), TOWNSHIP TWO NORTH,
RANGE 13 WEST, IN PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
entered its Order on March 18, 1965, upon the Petition of River
Ridge Development Corporation, being the owner of all the property
affected, after due notice of hearing on said Petition for the
time and in the manner prescribed by law, ordering the annexation
to the City of Little Rock of the following described lands lo-
cated in Pulaski County, Arkansas:
Part of Sections 17 and 18, Township 2 North, Range
13 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly
described as:
Beginning at the northeast corner of the Northwest
Quarter (NW4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW4), Section
17; thence South 87° 48' West along the North line of
the Northwest Quarter (NW-1-4) of the Southwest Quarter
(SW4), 1385.6 feet to the northwest corner of the
Northwest Quarter (NW-14) of the Southwest Quarter (SW4)
Section 17; thence along the line common to Sections
17 and 18, North 020 52' West, 1080.0 feet to the
South right -of -way line of the Chicago Rock Island and
Pacific Railroad; thence along the said South right -
of -way line, North 750 55' West, 860.3 feet to the
point of intersection of the South right -of -way line
of the Chicago Rock Island and Pacific Railroad and
the North line of the Southeast Quarter (SE4) of the
Northeast Quarter (NE4) of Section 18; thence along
the quarter section line South 87° 39' West 3619.6
feet to the point where said quarter section line
intersects the South right -of -way line of the Chicago
Rock Island and Pacific Railroad; thence along the
said South right -of -way line, South 52° 17' West,
106.3 feet; thence South 180 03' East 198.3 feet;
thence South 53° 20' West 214.3 feet to a point where
said line intersects the East right -of -way line of
County Farm Road; thence continuing along the East
right -of -way line of said County Farm Road South 080

thence South 02° 35' East, along the West line of
said East Half (E2) of the West Half (W2-) Southeast
Quarter (SE4), Southeast Quarter (SE4) of Section 18,
1234.1 feet to the northerly right of way of State
Highway No. 10; thence southeasterly along a curve
to the right in said northerly right of way, chord
bearing and distance of South 880 59' East, 308.0
feet; thence continue along a curve to the right in
said northerly right of way chord bearing and distance,
South 800 04' East, 324.5 feet to the South line of
Section 18; thence North 870 29' East along said
South line, 380.0 feet to the southeast corner of
Section 18, thence North 020 39' West along the East
line of Section 18, 1323.2 feet to the southeast
corner of the Northeast Quarter (NE-I4) of the South-
east Quarter (SE4) of Section 18; thence along the
South line of the Northwest Quarter (NW-4) of the
Southwest Quarter (SW4) of Section 17, North 880 43'
East, 1370.8 feet to the southeast corner of the
Northwest Quarter (NW4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW4)
of Section 17; thence along the East line of said
Northwest Quarter (NW4) of the Southwest Quarter (SWk)
of Section 17, North 010 36' West, 420.2 feet; thence
North 01° 44' West along said quarter section line,
898.0 feet to the point of beginning said parcel
containing 318.5 acres, more or less. .
WHEREAS, more than thirty (30) days have elapsed since the
entry of said Order of the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
and no person, firm or corporation has instituted any proceeding
in the Circuit Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, or elsewhere,
to prevent such annexation, and no protestants have appeared and
no notice given to the authorities of the City of Little Rock,

Arkansas, of any attempt to vacate, review, set aside or appeal
from the said Order of the County Court; and
WHEREAS, said above described lands are contiguous to and
adjoin the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, acting
through this Board of Directors, does hereby approve the annexation
of, and does hereby accept and make a part of the incorporated
area of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, all of the lands de-
scribed hereinabove in this Ordinance.
SECTION 2. It is further ordered that said lands be, and
they are hereby, assigned and attached to and made a part of the
Fifth Ward of said City of Little Rock.
