ORDINANCE N0. 11,567
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF ROCK STREET,
BOUNDED ON THE WEST BY LOTS 7 & 8, and THE SOUTH 29 FT. OF
LOT 9, BLOCK 379 ORIGINAL CITY, AND BOUNDED ON THE EAST BY
THE SOUTH 29 FT. OF LOT 49 AND ALL OF LOTS 5 & 6, BLACK 147,
ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on December 30, 1964, praying
that the Board of Directors vacate and abandon all that portion of the
street designated on a copy of the plat of Blocks 37 and 147 of the
Original City, filed herein, which plat appears of record in Deed
Book "L" at Page 330, in the office of the Recorder, Pulaski County.
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board of
Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all
persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that
the portion of the street, hereinafter described, has heretofore been
dedicated to the public use as a street, that the portion of the street
has not been actually used by the public generally for a period of at
least five years subsequent to the filing of the plat, that all the
owners of the property abutting upon the portion of the street to be
vacated have consented to the abandonment of the portion of the street,
and that the public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected
by the abandonment of the portion of the street.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS;
SECTION 1. That the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the
rights of the public generally, in and to a portion of Rock Street,
which is located between Blocks 37 and 147, Original City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, and which is more particularly described as follows:

which is bounded

of Rock Street which is bounded on
7 and 8 and the south 29 feet of
Original City of Little Rock and
on the east by the south 29 feet of
Lots 5 and 6, Block 147, Original

SECTION 2. A copy of the ordinance duly certified by the
City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County, Arkansas, and recorded in the deed records of the county.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be enforced
from and after its passage.
