IMPROVEMENTS. WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE.ROCK; AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN FUNDS. FROM. . UNAPPROPRIATED.BALANCE IN THE GENERAL FUND TO THE STREET.FUND; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from unappropriated balance in the General Fund the sum of One Hundred Five Thousand and No /100 Dollars ($105,000.00) for the purposes as follows: Aerial ladder fire truck $50,000.00 Remodelling Natural History Museum (third floor) 279000.00 Remodelling Board of Directors' Room (City Hall) 182000.00 Construction of Zoo Concession Building 100000.00 SECTION 2. The sum of One Hundred Forty -Five Thousand and No /100 Dollars ($145,000.00) is hereby authorized for transfer from unappropriated balance in the General Fund to the Street Fund of the City of Little Rock. SECTION 3. There is hereby appropriated from unappropriated balance in the Street Fund, including such funds as shall here- after be transferred under Section 2 of this ordinance, the sum of Two Hundred Three Thousand and No /100 Dollars ($203,000.00) for the purposes as follows: Widening Intersection - Markham and University Avenues $50,000.00 Reconstruction of Third Street Bridge 752000.00 -S 1 -2- Purchase of equipment (catch basin cleaner and flusher) $289000.00 Purchase of land for Material Yard 20,000.00 Purchase of equipment (traffic nite- liner) 30,000.00 SECTION 4. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to establish such account or accounts as may be necessary to identify the sums appropriated in the foregoing sections hereof for auditing and accounting purposes. SECTION 5. It is found that certain capital improvements as described in the foregoing sections are urgently needed to protect and preserve certain public facilities and to reduce the hazard to the general public using said facilities and that there are inadequate funds to finance said capital improve- ments and, this ordinance being necessary to provide said funds and thereby enhance the public peace, health, safety and welfare by allowing said improvements and repairs, an emergency is declared and found to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
