AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING WEST
30TH STREET BETWEEN PULASKI STREET AND CROSS STREET,
AND A PORTION OF PULA S KI STREET LOCATED S OUM OF WEST
30TH STREET IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a Petition was duly filed by the Little Rock School
District of Pulaski County, Arkansas, with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, asking the Board of Directors
to vacate, abandon and close West 30th Street between Pulaski
Street and Cross Street, and a portion of Pulaski Street located
south of West 30th Street, same being more particularly described
in said Petition and hereafter; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of
Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in said Notice,
heard all persons desiring to be heard on the giestion and has
ascertained that West 30th Street between Pulaski Street and Cross
Street, and a portion of Pulaski Street located south of West 30th
Street, are no longer needed or required for corporate purposes or
for use by the general public and adjoining owners in that other
streets are available and used for these purposes, that Petitioner,
Little Rock School District of Pulaski County, Arkansas, is the
only abutting landowner adjoining West 30th Street between Pulaski
Street and Cross Street, and a portion of Pulaski Street located
south of West 30th Street, to be vacated, and accordingly all
abutting landowners have consented to such abandonment, and that
the public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by
the abandonment thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, A RKA NSA S :
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases

vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of
the public generally, in and to West 30th Street between Pulaski
Street and Cross Street, and a portion of Pulaski Street located
south of West 30th Street, described as follows:
West 30th Street between Pulaski Street and Cross
Street, Little Rock, Arkansas, more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 5, ALEX
ROBERTSON'S PLAT of N2 of SWk of NW4 of Section 15,
Township 1 North, Mange 12 West, in the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas; thence Last along the North
right -cif -way line of West 30th Street to the West
right -of -way line of Cross Street; thence South to
the Northeast corner of Lot 14, Block 25, Braddock's
Boulevard Addition to the City of Little Rock;
thence West along the South right -of -way line of
West 30th Street to the Northwest corner of Lot 1,
Block 25, Braddock's Boulevard Addition to the
City of Little Rock; thence North to the point of
beginning.
A portion of Pulaski Street located South of the
South right -of -way line of West 30th Street, Little
Rock, Arkansas, more particularly described as:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 5, Block 9,
Bowman's Addition to the City of Little Kock;
thence East along the North boundary line of said
Lot 5, Block 9, Bowman's Addition to the City of
Little Rock, extended East to a point on the East
right -of -way line of Pulaski Street; thence South
along the East right -of -way line of Pulaski Street
to the Southwest corner of Lot 2, Block 25, Braddock's
Boulevard Addition to the City of Little Rock; thence
West along the South boundary line of said Lot 2,
Block 25, Braddock's Boulevard Addition to the City
of Liale Rock, Arkansas, extended West to the West
right -of -way line of Pulaski Street, being the same
line as the East boundary line of Block 9, Bowman's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence
North along the West right -of -way line of Pulaski
Street, being the Last boundary line of said Block 9,
Bowman's Add -tion to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
to the point of beginning;
and the ownership thereof shall vest in the owner of theabutting
property, Little Rock School District of Pulaski County, Arkansas,

its successors and assigns.
Section 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of
Pulaski County,Arkansas, and recorded in the deed records of
said County.
Section 3. The redevelopment of the lands now owned by
Petitioner, Little Rock School District of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, will be seriously delayed if said street and portion
of street are not closed and vacated immediately. An emergency
is therefore declared to exist and this Ordinance being necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public welfare shall take
effect immediately upon its passage: and approval.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
