AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $2,000.00
FROM CITY OF LITTLE ROCK STREET RIGHT -
OF -WAY FUND PROJECT 1 (EAST -WEST EXPRESS-
WAY) FOR THE ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN LANDS
AS RIGHT -OF -WAY FOR THE PROPOSED EAST -
WEST EXPRESSWAY, AMENDING IN PART SECTION
2 OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 11,631; DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. That portion of Section 2 of Ordinance
Number 11,631, which hereto read as follows:

210 -G66 $8,000.00
is hereby amended to read as follows:
210 -G66 $102000.00
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated from the City
of Little Rock Street Right -of -Way Fund, Project 1- Expressway,
the sum of $2,000.00 for providing additional funds with which
to acquire the parcel described in Section 1 hereof and this
appropriation is and shall be deemed supplemental to the
appropriations made in Ordinance Number 11,631 for the purpose
of acquiring right -of -way.
SECTION 3. It is hereby found by the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock that traffic conditions within the
City are congested and dangerous to the lives and property of
its citizens; that expressways are needed and that this Ordinance
is necessary to provide for the immediate acquisition of right-
of-way for such purposes; and it is further found that the price

established for the parcels to be acquired is advantageous
to the City and that the acquisition of said parcels should
be made immediately; now, therefore, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this Ordinance being necessary for the
preservation of the public peace, health, and safety shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval.
