HomeMy WebLinkAbout118391 RESOLUTION NO. 11,839 2 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 3 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF FOUR 4 CHEVY TAHOE POLICE VEHICLES FOR THE POLICE 5 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 0 7 WHEREAS, the Police Department Canine Division is in need of four vehicles 8 with larger cargo space than the conventional sedan to allow the officers to more 9 effectively perform their duties, and 10 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #4299 for the 11 purchase of four Chevy Tahoes for use by the Police Department Canine Division, and 12 the lowest responsible and responsive bid meeting minimum specifications was 13 received from Bale Chevrolet in the amount of One Hundred Nine Thousand, Three 14 Hundred Thirty -two and 16/100 Dollars ($109,332.16). 15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 16 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter 18 into a contract for the purchase of four (4) Chevy Tahoe Police vehicles for use by the 19 Police Department Canine Division from Bale Chevrolet, for the amount of One 20 Hundred Nine Thousand, Three Hundred Thirty -two and 16/100 Dollars ($109,332.16). 21 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from the 2004 Short Term 22 Financing Account. 23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, 24 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or 25 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining 26 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so [PAGE 1 OF 21 Resolution To purchase vehicles for the Police Department Canine Division 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
