ORDINANCE NO. 119764
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING A. PART OF SECTION 37 -10
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK; PROVIDING FOR A NEW AND EXTENDED SOUND
IMPROVEMENTS LINE WITHIN THE JURISDICTIONAL
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR THE
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Code of Ordinance of the City of Little
Rock, specifically Section 37 -10 (m) thereof, provides for a
sound improvement line which in light of the growth of the City
of Little Rock is obsolete; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors of
the City of Little Rock to redesignate said line within the five mile
jurisdictional limits provided by law and in order that more orderly
development of lands may be enforced in the area surrounding the
City of Little Rock.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Sub- section (m) of Section 37 -10 of the Code
of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"(M) Exceptions to requirements: The commission,
upon request of the subdivider, shall permit
special exceptions to be made to the improve-
ments required by these rules and regulations
when, in the opinion of the commission, such
exceptions are in keeping with the intent of
these rules and regulations, and when excep-
tions will provide for a development, the
character of which will be in conformance with
existing platting and development in the general
neighborhood of the proposed subdivision. The
sub - divider may be required to furnish special
information in order to aid the commission in
its determinations.
The commission, upon the request of the sub-
divider, shall waive the improvement require-
ments for subdivisions located beyond the line
described as follows:
Begin at a point of intersection at the center of the Arkansas River
and the existing Sound Improvements Line on the West Line of Section
