ALI ORDINANCE &2 ,Z.ALLING CHA1'TZR 26, ARTICLE: VI
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES INCLUDING SECTION
26 -56 THROUGH 26 -59; DISSOLVING THE HISTORIC
DISTRICT 001,2 ISSION; AND FO A OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEAL ' , Chapter 26, Article VI of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Little Rock, consisting of Sections
26 -56 through 26 -59 was passed and inacted on May 6, 1963 for
the :purpose of causing a study of the ;propriety of creating an
Historic District within the City of Little :lock; and,
dHEREAS, a commission was appointed to make a detail
study of a proposed Historic District and has now made its
reco=mendations to this Board of Directors as directed in said
article; and,
ifiH t the may ,fibers of the commission concur in a
recorunendation that no Historic District be established at this
time due to substantial resistance thereto by interested persons
in and about the oroposed district.
NOW THERr;FORE, BE IT ORDAIN: &D 13Y THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCI , ILU <. NSAS:
SECTIO14 1. Cha -pter 26, Article VI of the ::ode of
Ordinances of the City of Little Roc Z, consisting of Section
26 -56 through 26 -59 of said Code, is hereby repealed in its
entirety.
S'CTION 2. The members of the Historic Distriact
Commission heretofore appointed for the purpose of implementing
the provisions of Sections 26 -56 through 26 -59 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Little Roc„ are hereby discharged
and dismissed from any further duties thereunder.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
