AN'ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
STATE STREET BETWEEN WEST 12TH STREET AND WEST
13TH STREET, IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, a Petition was duly filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 18th
day of October, 1965, asking the Board of Directors to vacate,
abandon and close State Street between West 12th Street and
West 13th Street in the City of Little Rock, the same being
more particularly described in said Petition; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board
of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the Notice,
heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has
ascertained that the portion of State Street, hereinbefore
described, has heretofore been dedicated to the public use
as a street; said street is no longer needed or required for
corporate purposes or for use by the general public and adjoin-
ing owners in that other streets are available and used for
these purposes; that Petitioner is an educational institution
and the only abutting landowner upon State Street between West
12th Street and West 13th Street, in the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, and has filed with the Board of Directors its written
consent to the abandonment of such portion of said street; and
that the public interest and welfare will not be adversely
affected by the abandonment of such street:
Nei, TI(EREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby re-
leases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the
rights of the public generally, in and to State Street between
West 12th Street and West 13th Street in the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, more particularly described as follows:
State Street located between West 12th and
West 13th Streets: Beginning at the South-
west Corner of Lot 6, Block 222, Original
City of Little Rock; thence North along the
east right -of -way of State Street 300 feet
to the Northwest Corner of Lot 1 of said
Block 222; thence 60 feet West to the North-
east Corner of Block 232, Original City of
Little Rock; thence South along the west
right -of -way of State Street 300 feet to the
Southeast Corner of said Block 232; thence
60 feet East to the point of beginning.
Section 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by
the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of
Pulaski County, Arkansas, and reeorded in the deed records of said
County.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
