HomeMy WebLinkAbout11931ORDINANCE NO. 119931 AN ORDINANCE VACATING WEST FOURTH STREET, SOUTH PIERCE STREET AND SOUTH GRANT STREET IN HANSEN'S SUBDIVISION OF LOT 9, ADAMS AND PLUNKETT'S SUBDIVISION OF THE WEST HALF OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER, SECTION 6, TOWNSHIP 1 NORTH, RANGE 12 WEST, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS. WHEREAS, St. Vincent Infirmary filed a petition with the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, asking the Board to vacate and abandon the hereinafter described streets in the City of Little Rock; and WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the petition and has ascertained that the petitioner is the owner of all property abutting the portions of the streets to be closed; that the petitioner has filed its written consent to the vacation of said streets; that said streets are not required for corporate purposes of the City of Little Rock; and that said streets were platted on April 16, 1940, by the plat of record in Plat Book 4 at Page 13 in the office of the Circuit Clerk for Pulaski County, Arkansas, but have never, in fact, been opened, constructed or used by the public at any time; Now, Therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all of its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the following described streets situated in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, in Hansen's Subdivision of Lot 9, Adams and Plunkett's O�e'°,�� M , T Subdivision of the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 6, Township 1 North, Range 12 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas: a. West Fourth Street from the East line of South Pierce Street to the East line of South University Avenue (formerly Hayes Street); b. South Pierce Street from the North line of West Fourth Street to the North line of West Fifth Street; and c. South Grant Street from the North line of West Fourth Street to the North line of West Fifth Street. Provided, however, the rights of the City of Little Rock and the rights of privately owned utility companies to maintain any existing water, sewer, gas, telephone or power line in the portions of the streets to be closed shall continue to exist and shall not be abolished or affected by this ordinance. Section 2. A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Circuit Clerk and recorded in the deed records of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
