AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $1,420.00
FROM THE 1965 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BOND FUNDS
TO PROJECT C 65 -S -61, CONFEDERATE BOULEVARD
AND STATE HIGHWAY NUMBER 365 FOR RIGHT-OF-WAY
PURPOSES; PROVIDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN
PARCELS OF LAND; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS&
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to acquire certain parcels of land within the contemplated
widening and straighting of Confederate Boulevard and State Highway
No. 365 as hereinafter set forth and identified by Number. Each
parcel shall be acquired for the price hereinafter set forth
opposite the parcel number, which price represents the approved
appraisal of said parcel. The full legal description of each par-
cel and the approved appraisal thereof are now, and shall hereafter
remain, on file in the office of the Real - Estate Department of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. The parcels which the City Manager is hereby
authorized to acquire and the approved appraisal and purchase
price thereof are as follows:

SECTION 3. The City Manager and Director of Finance are
hereby authorized to pay by warrant of the City of Little Rock
the above purchase price for the respective parcels to the person
or persons entitled thereto according to the opinion of the City
Attorney so as to vest full legal title to the parcel in the City
of Little Rock.
SECTION 4. There is hereby appropriated the sum of
One Thousand Four Hundred Twenty and 00 /100 ($1,420.00) Dollars
from the 1965 Capital Improvements Bond Funds to project C- 65 -S -61
for the purposes set forth in the above section.
SECTION 5. It is hereby found by the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock that traffic conditions within the City

are congested and dangerous to the lives and property of its
citizens, and that this ordinance is necessary to provide for
the immediate acquisition of right -of -way for such purposes;
and it is further found that the acquisition of said parcels
should be made immediately and that the price established for
the parcels to be acquired is advantageous to the City; now,
therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public
peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
