AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT TO TREADWAY
ELECTRIC CO., INC. FOR FIRE ALARM SYSTEM CABLE;
APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $14,663.78 FROM THE
1965 IMPROVEMENT CONSTRUCTION FUND TO PROJECT
65 -F -53; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was published and bids re-
ceived pursuant thereto for the purchase of certain fire alarm
system cable all in accordance with law; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bid re-
ceived for said cable was that of Treadway Electric Co., Inc. in
the amount of Fourteen Thousand Six Hundred Sixty Three and 78/100
Dollars ($14,663,78); and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors to
accept said bid of Treadway Electric Co., Inc. and to authorize
the purchase of said materials in keeping with specifications and
bid proposal on file in the office of the Purchasing Agent.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The bid of Treadway Electric Co., Inc. in
the amount of Fourteen Thousand Six Hundred Sixty Three and 78/100
Dollars ($14,663.78) for certain fire alarm system cable as pro-
vided for by plans, specifications and bid proposal now on file
in the office of the Purchasing Agent is hereby accepted and a
contract of purchase of said materials is hereby authorized.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated from the 1965
Improvement Construction Fund to Project 65 -F -63 the sum of
Fourteen Thousand Six Hundred Sixty Three and 78/100 Dollars
($14,663.78) to be used for the payment of the purchase price
of the materials authorized in Section 1 hereof when same are
received, complying in all respects with the specifications and
bid proposal on file in the office of the Purchasing Agent.

SECTION 3. The City Manager and Director of Finance
are hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant
or warrants in payment of the purchase price of the materials
herein identified upon their receipt, complying in all respects
with their specifications and bid proposal.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
