HomeMy WebLinkAbout11989ORDINANCE NO. 119989 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CHANGE ORDER FOR CONSTRUCTION WORK ON 65TH STREET AT THE INTERSECTION OF LANCASTER ROAD IN THE BUILDING OF A RETAINING WALL ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SAID INTERSECTION; APPROPRIA- TING THE SUM OF $9,258.75 FROM THE 1965 IMPROVE- MENT CONSTRUCTION FUND TO PROJECT 65 -S -58 (65TH STREET - PHASE III): AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. NOM, THffitEFORB, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to issue a change order for construction work on 65th Street at the intersection of Lancaster Road to provide for a retaining wall at the Southwest corner of said intersection and thus authorize Southeast Construction Company, contractor for said project, to make the necessary improvements provided for by said change order not to exceed in cost the sum of Nine Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Eight and 75/100 ($9,258.75) Dollars. SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated from the 1965 Improvement Construction Fund to Project 65 -S -58 (65th Street - Phase III) the sum of Nine Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Eight and 75/100 ($9,258.75) Dollars to be used in payment of the cost of the work provided for by the change order hereinabove authorized. The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant or warrants in pay - mentaE the cost of said work in keeping with and pursuant to authorization of the original contract heretofore provided for in the widening and paving of Phase III of 65th Street, which contract is with Southeast Construction Company.
