ORDINANCE NO. 119969
ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING A PORTION
OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 5, RUSSELL'S ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 16th day of August, 1967,
asking the Board of Directors to vacate and abandon a portion of the
alley in Block 5, Russell's Addition to the City of Little Rock, more
particularly described as follows:

All that part of the alley in Block 5 as shown on the plat
of Russell's Addition to the City of Little Rock that is
adjacent to Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 14, 15, 16, 17 and the
North 5.47 feet of Lot 6 and the North 9.11 feet of Lot 13
of said Block 5 of Russell's Addition to the City of Little
Rock, said portion of this alley to be vacated and abandoned
being designated on the plat filed with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, subject, however, to any public
easements in said alley;
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board of
Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard
all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that the portion of the alley, hereinbefore described, has heretofore
been dedicated to the public use as an alley, as herein described;
has not been actually used by the public generally for a period of at
least five (5) years subsequent to the filing of the plat; that all of
the owners of the property abutting upon the alley to be vacated have
filed with the Board of Directors their written consent to such aban-
donment; and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely
affected by the abandonment of such portion of the alley;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the

public generally, in and to the alley designated as follows:
All that part of the alley in Block 5 as shown on the plat
of Russell's Addition to the City of Little Rock that is
adjacent to Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 14, 15, 16, 17 and the
North 5.47 feet of Lot 6 and the North 9.11 feet of Lot 13
of said Block 5 of Russell's Addition to the City of
Little Rock, said portion of this alley to be vacated and
abandoned being designated on the plat filed with the Board
of Directors of the City of Little Rock
subject, however, to any public utility easements located in said
alley.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
