AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXERCISE A REAL ESTATE OPTION GIVEN
THE CITY BY LUTHER JOHNSON AND NAOMI JOHNSON,
HIS WIFE, TO CERTAIN LANDS NECESSARY TO THE
DEVELOPMENT OF WAKEFIELD VILLAGE PARK;
APPROPRIATING TWENTY NINE THOUSAND FOUR
HUNDRED DOLLARS ($29,400.00) FROM THE 1965
IMPROVEMENT CONSTRUCTION FUND FOR PARKS; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. A Real Estate Option executed by Luther
Johnson and Naomi Johnson, his wife, is hereby approved and the
Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to exercise said option to buy
the following described real estate located in Little Rock, Pulaski
County, Arkansas, to -wit:
Beginning 641 feet north of the southwest corner
of the NE-14 of the NW-14, Section 31, Township 1
North, Range 12 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas;
thence, run East 628 feet; thence North 321 feet;
thence, West 628 feet; thence, south 321 feet to
the point of beginning, and containing 4.64 acres,
more or less.
Said lands being necessary for the development of Wakefield Village
Park.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated from the 1965
Improvement Construction Fund for Parks the sum of $29,400.00 to be
paid to Luther Johnson and Naomi Johnson, his wife, when said option
is exercised and Warranty Deed delivered.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
