HomeMy WebLinkAbout12268ORDINANCE NO. 12,268 AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SCRAMBLING DEVICES FOR THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT AND FOR REMODELING OF THE BAARD BUILDING; APPRO- PRIATING $16,490.00 FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND; APPROPRIATING $20,400.00 FROM THOSE FUNDS ALLOCATED IN ORDINANCE 11,992; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids received pursuant thereto according to law for the purchase of scrambling devices for the Little Rock Police Department and for remodeling of the Baird Building; and WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidders have been determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to authorize the purchase of scrambling devices and remodeling of the Baird Building from and by the lowest responsible and responsive bidders. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. The lowest responsible and responsive bids on contract for the purchase of scrambling devices and remodeling of the Baird Building are hereby accepted and contracts awarded as follows: ITEM SUCCESSFUL BIDDER PURCHASE PRICE Scrambling devices for Mieco, Inc. the Little Rock Police 1928 Green Spring Drive Department Timonium, Maryland 21093 $15,105.00 Remodeling of Baird Bldg. Richardson Construction North Little Rock, Ark. 46,890.00 SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund $16,490.00; to be used with other funds previously appropriated for the remodeling of the Baird Building; including._ an appropriation of $20,400.00 from those funds allocated by Ordinance 11,992. cec "t' � t 1 - 2 - SECTION 3. There is hereby appropriated $9,063.00 from the unexpended balance of.the General Fund. Said $9,063.00 was received from the Arkansas State Crime Commission for the purpose of funding sixty per cent of the total cost of the scrambling devices for the Little Rock Police Department. SECTION 4. Upon satisfaction of these contracts, complying in all respects with the bidding specifications and bid proposal, the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant or warrants in payment of said purchase price.
