AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT FOR
REPAIRS TO A VAC -ALL TRUCK FOR THE - PUBLIC
WORKS DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK; WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING, AUTHOR-
IZING PAYMENT, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a Vac -All truck used in the Public Works
Department of the City of Little Rock was damaged in an
accident which needs immediate repair; and
WHEREAS, only one company in the City is capable and
desirous of making the required repairs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Invitations to bid are hereby waived on
a contract for the repair of a Vac -All truck because
International Harves -ter is the only company in the City
capable of and-willing to make the required repairs and there
exists a need to have the repair work done as soon as possible.
SECTION 2. There is hereby awarded a contract to
International Harvester in conformance with their itemized
estimate on the costs of repairing said Vac -All truck in the
amount of $3,413.00.
SECTION 3. Upon completion of the necessary repairs
complying with the estimate as presented by International
Harvester, the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant or
warrants for the payment of same.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage.
